December with all its color, music, parades, music, shopping, wrapping, church activities, performances, music, planning, ..........T'is the season to be jolly! Yeah, right! Thank God for this wonderful season!!!

Meanwhile, we are doing our own celebration on December 12. We have six performers: Sandy and Mary Ann, Judy, Debi, Bill and Peggy on the list. Am I missing someone? We certainly have room for more in the lovely room at Ann Bunyan's house. By the way, my husband and I were lucky enough to hear the Rocky Mountain Chamber Singers perform on December 1. Absolutely superb, fabulous musicians lead by one of the best choral Directors I've ever seen and heard! What a way to start December. The program was very special for their 20th Anniversary.

Kudos to Ruth Hale for a wonderful presentation at the November program! The members of LAMTA continue to amaze me with their many talents. We learned some very interesting information about certain Spanish composers and heard some wonderful selections even on a live harpsichord.
Tis the season to be jolly,
So YOU All come, by golly
Listen to Tunes of Blues and Jazz
Share a meal of the good food we "has."
(No, I haven't been into the eggnog.)
See you on December 12, Peggy

Popp Compositions Available
Bill Popp
My student selections are now available at Music and Arts. They include two beginning level piano solos "Three Modern Rags" and "Musica Piccola;" a level 4 string orchestra piece "Westscape;" an intermediate level piece for violin, cello, and piano "Prelude, Canon, and Dance;" and two advanced level pieces "Partita Contrasta" for violin and piano, and "Double Fugue in the Baroque Style" for brass quartet. I plan on bringing some additional information about the pieces to our next meeting.

Boys' Guitar Workshop
Sandy Lundberg and Sonia Haxton
Sonia and I would like to highly recommend Brian and Becca Kephart who gave a superb workshop on the guitar for us last month. They brought six or seven different types of guitars and went from the Baroque era all way through modern rock, explaining the use of the guitar in different eras and styles and expertly playing samples from each period. The students really loved their presentation! Becca can be contacted through Music & Arts in Loveland.
