Meet Our New Members!
Kathy Bergman
With almost 19 years of teaching experience, Kathy's philosophy of teaching encompasses the desire to develop a well-rounded student able to appreciate and perform all styles of music. Along with her conviction that a solid, sound foundation of fundamentals creates a solid, skilled pianist, she strongly coaches her students to:
play with expression and accuracy
to perform and accompany with confidence
to master theory principles
to experience and use improvisational techniques
to discover the gift of creativity through composition
to use their gift to enrich the lives of others and themselves
to develop a love and passion for the instrument and the music it produces.
Kathy was trained classically and also offers contemporary choices for her students. With experience in accompanying in church, school and community venues, Kathy currently plays keyboard in the Crossroads Church Worship Band. This skill allows her to share her love of worship music with those students who aspire to play in a band environment on both the piano and/or the synthesizer. With a background in traditional Christian music, she can also share more conservative Christian music with students who have that interest.
Jeanne Zukowski
Jeanne Zukowski, NCTM, has recently moved to Estes Park, Colorado from Omaha, Nebraska, where she and her husband lived for 29 years and raised their three children. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and is an MTNA Nationally Certified Teacher of Music.
