Hello everyone! Some interesting developments have taken place in the past month. The first news is that we have competed the revisions and additions to the LAMTA flyer and will have some at the next meetingto showyou.
More interesting news is that the FCMTA considered our proposals for next year's piano festival. They overwhelmingly approved numbers one through three which are: 1) Find a new location. Anywhere in Loveland is OK with them. 2) Lower the noncompetitive fee to $18.00, and3) Split the profit or loss on a percentage basis, which they approved for the prior 2004 festival. Our portion of last year's cost will be 24%. They are not opposed to the fourth item, to have a second recital the following day, but they don't feel the need and do not want to help plan such an event. So we will take another look at that another time.
Achievement Day is coming up and I want to wish all the students and teachers much success. I won't be able to join you for the start on Saturday morning due to a playing commitment, butI will arrive mid or late morning. Our First Vice President, Judy Johnson will kick off the event, and after all, she has a lot more experience with this than I. I'll see you at the next meeting. Have fun. Bill
