Occasionally, Victoria Loran and I (Bill) perform at locations which are open to the public. This Friday, March 5, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., we will be at The Cupboard, on South College in Old Town, Fort Collins. If you didn't hear us at the last meeting, or would like to hear us again, please stop by. It is a rare opportunity to listen to live music and shop all at the same time.

I have received a couple of items from MTNA. The first is a notice that theWeber State University Collegiate Chapter was named 2005 Collegiate Chapter of the Year for 2005. Secondly, MTNA has just circulatedits "Music Teachers National Association Where to Turn Guide." It is an alphabetical listing of all the departments at the national headquarters. I will have copies for everyone at the next meeting. If you can't make it, as always, we will get the listto you via mail.
Also, thank you to everyone who helped make Achievement Day another successful event. Especially to the students, who worked so hard, played beautifully, and brought in some wonderful art and essays. Congratulations to all. And Judy, we missed you, hope you're feeling better.
I'm looking forward to the next meeting. The program on improvisation shouldbe veryinteresting!
Need a Gift?
I have extra magnets from the Achievement Day if people want them for gifts. They are 55 a piece. ~Betty Lou (669-3473)
Honors Recital May 7
The 2005 Honors Recital is coming up May 7. As usual, each teacher may choose two students whom they wish to honor with the privilege of performing at this event. We are working on a form to make it easy to sign up right on the website this year and it should be ready soon. We are just waiting for the list of jobs to add so you can sign up for where you would like to help when you sign up to participate. It should be ready in the next week and then you may click HERE to sign up. For more information read the Honors Recital information on this website, or contact Elaine Eastman at 667-7473.
Book Reviews
An initial review from Ruth Hale on The Hurried Child is available on the Book Reviews page. The next report is due in April from Peggy Tighe on Is Your Bed Still There When You Close the Door?, by Jane Healy. There are several books left that no one has claimed, so check the list and see if there is anything that interests you.
