February 2004
From the President's Desk
Judy Johnson
I always feel like things should slow down in January because the holiday rush is over, but it didn't seem like that this year. For one thing,we all start lessons in high gear so we can be prepared for Achievement Day registration.Hopefully you are all finished with that and have a big red circle around February 11, on your calendar. That is the Achievement Day coordination meeting. You really don't need to stay long unless you have questions. Our scheduling committee is very efficient and will facilitate their information quickly.I will have a handout that tells you where you should be and when.It is so much easier when everyone can get all of this firsthand.
On another note: I always enjoy our LAMTAmeetings, but January's meeting was really exceptional. I enjoyed the music and the information about the songs and the composers, but I also enjoyed getting to know you in a different wayseeing you at the instrument and watching your personality come through.Thank you for sharing your talents with us.I definitelyplan to suggest an encore for next year and I think that selecting a country is a wonderful perspective.
